Wendy Smith

Wendy Smith graduated as a dental hygienist from The University of Melbourne in 1997. She was awarded the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists Dental Hygiene Prize for “excellent skills in patient management and communication”. Wendy was also awarded the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia Prize for “excellence in operator clinical skills”. Wendy pursued further study to complete her Graduate Certificate in Dentistry in 2008 from The University of Adelaide and was the first dental hygienist to in Australia to achieve this qualification. Wendy has been a lecturer, clinical demonstrator and examiner at The University of Melbourne Dental School. Wendy has worked in both general and specialist periodontal practices for the past 20 years and joined The Perio group in 2015. Wendy is a highly skilled and delicate hygienist, as well as excellent listener and communicator. She is a highly valued member of The Perio Group team.
Nicole Holloway
Dip Dental Hygiene (Adel)
Nicole graduated from Adelaide in 2001 and has been working as a dental hygienist in Specialist Periodontic practice for the past 17 years. Nicole regularly attends continuing professional development programs, has completed a course in the delivery of local anaesthetic, and is a current member and past treasurer of the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia.
Within her practice of clinical dental hygiene care, Nicole most enjoys building positive relationships with patients whilst supporting themin their journey towards long term periodontal health. This she believes is best achieved through active listening to each individual's requirements and therefore being able to tailor a coordinated supportive periodontal care program. Nicole prides herself on her gentle, yet comprehensive approach.
